Wyvern No 84 Fountain Pen - Vintage.
I can’t find out very much about this pen - Wyvern 84, but it probably dates to just after the second world war. It seems to have been well used with small surface marking as shown, but no cracks or dents. The end of the cap shows some wear. Stamped on the barrel is “Wyvern No 84, Wyvern Pen Co London, Made in England”. The gold nib shows ‘Warranted 14Ct 1st Quality’. The gold decorations seem to be little worn and the cap has a plain thin gold band with a Greek looking cut out design below it. I dont know if it works. Almost certainly belonged to my father, who nearly always used a fountain pen and couldn’t abide Biro’s. Length 5.25” Wt 19gms

A Pen collector kindly emailed to give me some additional information about my Wyvern No84. He says......”the give away to the age of your pen is in the gold circles on the cap. These indicate Pre WWII vintage, and also indicate it was one of their more quality lines....” Thank you for this, K.
